May declared as South Carolina State Guard Month

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Wednesday at the State House, lawmakers declared May of 2019 South Carolina State Guard month.

Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette read the proclamation at a ceremony in front of the State House Wednesday afternoon.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, who also serves as the Guard’s Commander, says the guard gets its strength from the citizens of South Carolina.
