Water shortage causes Lexington middle school to dismiss early

LEXINGTON, S.C. — According to officials with Lexington County School District One, Gilbert Middle School will close early today due to a water shortage caused by a water main break.

In a statement, the district said the school will serve lunch and then close at 12:15 p.m.

Gildber Middle School will resume its normal school schedule on Wednesday, October 30.
