RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County deputies say a homeowner shot a man attempting to break in a house on Saturday.

Authorities say the shooting happened at 7 p.m. on Concord Place Road.

According to investigators, Joseph Harkless, 21, shot the back glass patio door of the home, and the homeowner then shot him in the upper body.
