City of Columbia: Free Parking Meters and Garages in wake of Coronavirus
The City of Columbia Parking Services Announces no Payments for Parking Meters and Garages to Support Social Distancing
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Monday, the City of Columbia Parking Services announced the parking meters and parking garages in the city would be free.
According to a release from City officials, “as the City of Columbia Parking Services Division continues to support efforts of social distancing and our entire business community; parking payments will not be required for on-street parking meters until further notice.”
City officials also say that City owned parking facilities, gates will be raised until further notice.
Handicapped parking, fire lanes, no parking areas, and yellow curbs will continue to be monitored.
