U.S. Attorney Peter McCoy says his office will prosecute South Carolinians who stormed the Capitol

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– In a tweet sent out Wednesday, U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina Peter M. McCoy Jr. said that his office will prosecute South Carolinians who participated in the destruction at the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

McCoy tweeted earlier that it is his office’s responsibility to defend the Constitution and enforce the rule of law.
