CPD: Heavy smoke from fire at Wendy’s on Garners Ferry Road cleared; no injuries

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police Department says no one was injured after a fire at a Wendy’s Restaurant overnight.

Authorities say it happened after midnight on Monday at the restaurant on Garners Ferry Road.

According to the Columbia Fire Department, the fire came from the building’s air conditioning system on the roof.

Authorities say the fire itself was contained to the unit.

The fire remains under investigation.
