Governor McMaster responds to calls to move teachers up in line for vaccines

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Governor Henry McMaster took to Twitter over the weekend to further explain why he does not want to prioritize vaccinating teachers ahead of some of South Carolina’s seniors. In a tweet Sunday, he writes “we have prioritized teachers by placing them in phase 1b. Teachers will be vaccinated soon, but not at the expense of those who are much more likely to die without the vaccine.”

He says it would be “unethical, immoral, and absolutely unacceptable.”
