Fairfield Co. Sheriff: Trailer theft suspect arrested, charged with 16 counts of grand larceny

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been arrested and charged with 16 counts grand larceny. Officials say 25-year-old Brian Chase Haas was taken into custody by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday night, is currently being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center and will be transferred to Kershaw County.

Fairfield County deputies had been looking for Haas in connection with a string of utility trailer thefts throughout the county. Click here to read more about the incidents.

Deputies say they had also arrested Joshua Olive on March 17 in connection with these incidents.
