SCSO K-9 gets new protective vest thanks to donations from the public

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Sumter County K-9 Officer Kilo now has a brand new protective vest. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office announced Kilo was fitted with the vest on Monday.

Deputies were able to raise more than $3,000 for the vest with the help of the non-profit Keeping K-9s in Kevlar. Deputies say the money was raised in just 15 hours.
