DHEC officials comment on slowing demand for COVID-19 vaccines in the state

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– On the vaccine front, officials with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control say they have administered nearly 2 million first dose shots to South Carolinians since the first Pfizer shot was available in the state on December 14. During a meeting Wednesday, health officials say demand for vaccines have slowed down and added, “the vaccines work. They are safe, effective, and save lives.”
