Springdale Elementary reveals new bench dedicated in memory of Faye Swetlik

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Springdale Elementary School honored the memory of 6-year-old Faye Swetlik this morning. The school revealed a bright pink bench, in honor of one of Faye’s favorite colors, along with new pieces of equipment at the playground.

Authorities say she was kidnapped and killed last year after vanishing from her home. She was a first grader at Springdale Elementary and would have turned eight on Sunday.
