Richland County Council extends mask ordinance until May 1
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Despite a drop in COVID-19 cases over the last several weeks, masks in Richland County will be required for another couple months. The Richland County Council decided to extended the ordinance which requires face coverings be worn by everyone 11 years and older. This includes inside most commercial establishments within the county.
The council originally adopted this emergency mask ordinance last September, following the surge of the delta variant.
The mask ordinance is set to expire May 1.
