Gas prices surge across the U.S. and SC

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The National average for a gallon of gas is the highest in nearly ten years. Prices at the pump have climbed again.
In Los Angeles, gas prices surged to$5.00 a gallon for the first time, ever.
AAA reports the average price hit $5.01 on Thursday, indicating a price jump of over 8 cents in one day.
Here at home, drivers are paying an average of $3.71 a gallon in Columbia.
Experts say prices at the pump will continue to rise due to the conflict in Ukraine.

Gas Buddy is predicting the national average will rise to $4 per gallon in the next few weeks.
