UPDATE: Search for missing diver on Lake Murray

LEXINGTON SC (WOLO)–Officials with the SC Dept. of Natural Resources say they received a call around 1pm Wednesday that a diver was missing near the towers.

Officials say the SCDNR dive team responded and searched Wednesday and into Thursday.

UPDATE:  According to Officials at The Department of Natural Resources, Members of the Dive Team recovered the body of the missing diver at about 10:30 Sunday morning.  The investigation continues into what led to the accident.

The divers identity and the cause of death has not been released by the coroner’s office.
