COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Alex Murdaugh is finished testifying in his murder trial.

He underwent cross-examination for hours last week, answering questions about his whereabouts the night his wife and son were killed.

Alex repeatedly admitted he lied to investigators, blaming paranoid thinking from his drug use, but denied being involved in Maggie and Paul’s murders in 2021.

Lead prosecutor Creighton Waters hammered Murdaugh on what the prosecution called his new story.

Week 6 in the murder trial is now underway and the defense is bringing their final witnesses to the stand.
