February is Getting Warmer in Columbia

As you know this February was plenty warm.  With an average temperature of 56.7°F, February averaged out to be 7.6° above normal, making it the fifth warmest February in Columbia in data going back to 1888.  Over the past 50 years Februarys in Columbia are getting hotter.  The trend line below shows that the average temperature has increased by roughly 5.4°F since 1970.
