A New Tropical Storm

A storm has developed just off the Florida Panhandle.  As of late Thursday the storm is classified as a tropical depression.  That means that its winds aren’t yet strong enough for it to be classified as a tropical storm – it would need to have sustained winds of 39 mph for that.  Either way, the storm is going to drift to the south and not impact us here in the Midlands in any way.
