5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration heads back to Hopkins this month!

HOPKINS, S.C. (WOLO) – You can bring the family to celebrate Juneteenth at an annual event in Hopkins this month!

The 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Hopkins starts Monday, June 19 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

It’s held at the Historic Harriet Barber House at 116 Barberville Loop in Hopkins.

Curtis spoke with the event spokesperson Veronica Primus about how the event celebrates the importance of Juneteenth, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans on June 19, 1886.

Artist Fraserly gave us a sneak peek of her new single “Free Man” as she’s one of the many artists set to perform at the event!

The celebration also has plenty of exhibits, food trucks, live performances from artists like Fraserly, Roy & Revelation, Latrice Pace and so much more!
