Republicans battle it out in first debate

(ABC News) — The first GOP debate just ended with all major candidates including two from South Carolina.

Former President Donald Trump was noticeably absent. Here now is ABC’s Reena Roy with more on the night that could set the tone for the remainder of the Republican race for the White House.
