RCSD: Multiple assaults at Midlands jail

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Richland Co. deputies say they are investigating multiple assaults at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

According to investigators, on Thursday deputies responded to an area hospital for reports of several detainees being assaulted in their dorms.

Deputies say two inmates were cut and a third was assaulted with a mop.

Investigators say they’re not sure if the assaults are connected.
