Midlands son charged in mother’s death
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say Michael Joyner, 24, is accused in the death of his mother.
Investigators say on September 14, 2023, officers responded to Byron Rd. after Mary Wilson, 66, was found unresponsive in her home.
The Richland Co. Coroner’s Office says Wilson died from blunt force trauma.
According to investigators, Joyner was in an argument with his mother prior to the incident.
