One person dead after collision involving tractor-trailer in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after a collision involving a tractor-trailer in Lee County, said the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

According to the SCHP, the collision happened on Friday, Nov.10 around 2:20 p.m. on US-15 near I-20.

Troopers said a tractor-trailer was heading north on U.S. 15 and attempting to make a left turn onto I-20 westbound when a 2019 Chevrolet sedan heading north in the southbound lanes sideswiped the tractor-trailer.

The driver was pronounced dead and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
