Amazon rolling out palm-scanning tech to businesses

CNN– Amazon is rolling out its palm-scanning technology to the business world.

The company says its one enterprise solution could replace badges and pins.

Instead, there would be biometric matching using palm and vein imagery technology.

Employees have to hover their hand over the Amazon One enrollment device to access a physical location.

The technology could also be connected to computers and other systems to authenticate users.

Amazon says its one enterprise has a 99% accuracy rate.

The service is currently available in preview in the U.S.

IHG Hotels and Resorts joins the list of companies that have already signed up as customers for the new technology.
