In our look at Local Living, it’s a pet adoption holiday special.
Columbia Animal Services is hosting an adoption special for all dogs for $25.
The special runs through Sunday, Dec.31, 2023.
Anyone can visit the shelter at 127 Humane Lane in Columbia.
The state fairgrounds will soon light up like Christmas.
The Carolina Lights Holiday Drive-thru will feature more than 100 individual LED light displays.
There will also be milk and cookies available for purchase as well as treats for your dog.
The light show runs from Dec.8 through Dec.24 at the fairgrounds.
Admission is $20 per car.
The Christmas stars came out to shine on Lake Murray this past weekend for the Lake Murray Boat Parade.
Capital City-Lake Murray Country announced this year’s winners.
First place goes to Lorne White and the Gum Drop House, second place is Taylor Bell’s boat featuring a T-rex pulling Santa, and third place is Nathan Simpson’s Christmas at the Zoo.
