DJJ juvenile correctional officer accused of misconduct
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–A DJJ juvenile correctional officer was let go of his position at the detention center after an investigation, say detention center officials.
Alexander Howell, 33, of Lexington is accused of accepting financial payment from youth in the care of DJJ in exchange for contraband.
Howell was charged with misconduct in office and is currently at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
