Fairfield County leaders work together to give food to residents

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Fairfield County Council worked together with multiple organizations to give food to residents on Tuesday.

The council along with Fairfield Forward, Foodshare Fairfield, Fairfield County Transit, Fairfield County Fire Service and the sheriff’s office gave out 700 boxes of food.

According to a Facebook post volunteers from various organizations and departments spent Tuesday morning packing the boxes with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Once the boxes were packed up and ready to go out to people they were taken to 5 different locations to be distributed.
