SCHP: 1 killed & several airlifted after a collision on US-301 in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says one person is dead and several people were airlifted to a hospital after a collision Sunday.
It happened at approximately 2:40 p.m. on US-301 near US-176.
According to investigators, a 2007 Saturn Sedan with 6 people inside collided with a 2022 Kia Sedan with 2 people inside.
Troopers say both drivers & 3 passengers from the Saturn Sedan were airlifted to the hospital while the remaining victims were transported.
One of the passengers from the Saturn Sedan died.
This incident remains under investigation.
