Richland One: New app to track school bus route

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A new mobile app now allows Richland School District One parents and guardians to track their child’s school bus route in real time.

Richland One student transportation services rolled out the “Traversa Ride 360” mobile app this week.

It’s an app provided by the South Carolina Department of Education to help increase communication with parents.

Officials say parents can now see the bus stop time, location and when the bus has arrived to or departed the school.

ABC Columbia’s Maya Payton went to talk to school officials to learn about the new app.
