Officer at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center facing sexual misconduct and contraband charges

An employee at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center is facing the following charges: 3 counts of Sexual Misconduct with an Inmate of Correctional Facility, 3 counts of Furnishing Contraband, and 1 count of Misconduct in Office.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – An employee at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center is facing the following charges: 3 counts of Sexual Misconduct with an Inmate of Correctional Facility, 3 counts of Furnishing Contraband, and 1 count of Misconduct in Office.
On January 26th,  investigators detained an officer Consuela Porch. According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Porch had in her possession a styrofoam cup with two zip lock baggies filled with cigarettes and three vapes. She also had other contraband inside of her vehicle, as seen in the attached photo. Porch used her smart watch inside the jail to communicate with inmates to make contraband drops. Investigators say Porch admitted that she was in a relationship with an Inmate on and off for some time.
Porch was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and was given a surety bond of $20,000.
