Elmo’s social media post sparks conversation on mental health

(CNN)– With the first month of the year nearly over Elmo took the pulse of the public.

And it turns out as a whole we’re not doing that great on social media.

The beloved Sesame Street character asked “How is everybody doing?”

The answers were not what Elmo was expecting.

Celebrities, news outlets and fellow Sesame Street Characters all replied with despair, dread and exhaustion.

So if you’re feeling some doom and gloom right now, you’re not alone.

Sesame Street thanked Elmo for checking in and posted links to mental health resources.
