Local Living: Mardi Gras Festival, Cottontown Art Crawl, State Museum Accessibility Morning

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, the 6th annual Cottontown Art Crawl kicks off next month.

Nearly 200 artists will showcase their work in the historic neighborhood of Downtown Columbia.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free.

There will be a Mardi Gras Festival and Parade in Columbia this Saturday.

The parade will start on Jim Hamilton Boulevard in the Rosewood District at 11 a.m.

The festival will feature live music, food trucks, local vendors and more.

Tickets are $5 and free for kids 12 and under.

The state museum is hosting their accessibility morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. this Saturday.

Guests who are neurodiverse or have disabilities are invited to enjoy a sensory-friendly show.

They will also have a chance to meet a character from “Clifford the Big Red Dog” for special book reading. Admission is free.
