Kershaw deputies arrest man accused of drug, gun charges
Kershaw Co., SC (WOLO) — The Drug Unit for the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office nabbed a suspected officials say was found in possession of various illegal drugs and guns on February 7, 2024. According to Kershaw County Deputies, they served a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Kings Avenue in Camden where they say they discovered 400 grams fentanyl. But according to officials that wasn’t all they found.
Authorities say 46 year old Theodore Donnell Sheppard was arrested and charged with a laundry list of offenses.Some of those charges include, Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Methamphetamine 3rd, Trafficking Cocaine 3rd, Possession With Intent to Distribute (PWID) Crack Cocaine 3rd, PWID Schedule I Control Substance 1st, PWID Marijuana 1st, PWID in just half a mile of School or Park, Felony Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Commission of a Violent Crime While on Bond.
Authorities say Sheppard is no stranger to law enforcement. According to officials he has a long criminal history involving drugs and guns which deputies say he was on out on bond for. Kershaw officials say Sheppard currently falls under the new bond reform bill which means he will not be eligible for parole for these charges.
“This arrest and drug seizure was made with the assistance of the Camden Police Department. We will continue working with the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office as a team to combat drug activity and make our community safer.”
