Local Living: Award-winning journalist teams up with photographer for free book signing

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, the 6th annual Cottontown Art Crawl kicks off next month.

Nearly 200 artists will showcase their work in the historic neighborhood of downtown Columbia.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

 

Historic Columbia and the South Carolina State Museum are hosting a free book signing event.

Award-winning Journalist and Author Claudia Smith Brunson has teamed up with Photographer Cecil Williams on his new biography.

The book explores his life and perspective during the civil rights movement in South Carolina.

The event takes place on Thursday, Feb.15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Registration is required.

 

The Dinosaur Adventure is stomping its way to the state fairgrounds this month.

You and family can take part in fossil searches, riding your dinosaur or riding in Jurassic Jeeps.

It takes place on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

And on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
