Local Living: Lexington County Chili Cook-off

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, Columbia Animal Services is hosting an adoption special throughout the month.

You can take home your new four legged friend for just $14.

The shelter is located on Humane Lane and is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.

It is open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.

Lexington County Animal Services is hosting its own Valentine’s adoption special all month long.

All adoption fees will be reduced to $5. Every adoption pet is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered.

Anyone can visit the shelter on Ball Park Road on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Or on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

You can attend the 2024 Lexington County Chili Cook-off this weekend.

The event is being held at the Icehouse Amphitheater on Sunday from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Admission for adults is $12 in advance and $15 the day of the event.

Kids 12 and under are admitted for $5. Admission includes unlimited chili samples and more.
