Delta Airlines offers passengers bird’s eye view of total solar eclipse
(CNN) — A Delta flight this Spring will give you an up close and personal view of the total solar eclipse.
The airline is offering a special flight from Austin, Texas to Detroit, Michigan April eighth.
Delta flight 1218 will be specifically operated on an A220-300, which is an aircraft with extra-large windows.
The flight is timed for the best chance of safely viewing the solar eclipse at its peak — spending as much time as possible directly within the path of totality.
The airline says it has five additional routes the same day offering similar chances.
