Nikki Haley says the fight goes on after projected loss to Donald Trump in SC GOP Presidential Primary
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley addressed supporters following the South Carolina presidential primary and the projected loss to Donald Trump.
Haley says her message is clear: the fight goes on.
Haley made the speech, in Charleston, to supporters after Former President Donald Trump gave a victory speech to his supporters in Columbia.
Trump was named the projected winner shortly after polls closed.
In the speech released by her campaign, Haley told her supporters, in part, “Today, in South Carolina, we’re getting around 40% of the vote. That’s about what we got in New Hampshire too.
“I’m an accountant. I know 40% is not 50%.”
“But I also know 40% is not some tiny group.”
“There are huge numbers of voters in our Republican primaries who are saying they want an alternative.”
“I said earlier this week that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I would continue to run for President.”
