Home prices in the US hit a new all-time high in December

(CNN)– U.S. home prices hit an all time high in December. Seasonally adjusted data released today shows prices were up two-tenths of a percent from the month before.

It continues a streak of seven record highs in a row in 2023. December prices were up 5.5% from the same month a year ago.

Meanwhile prices in half of the 20 metro markets beat prior records in December, after accounting for seasonal impacts.
