Alvin S. Glenn inmate found dead inside of cell

Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of an Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center inmate. According to Deputies, around 10:30 Saturday night corrections officers with the Detention Center discovered a 22 year old female  inmate unresponsive inside of her cell.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford says the victim is identified as LaRoyal D. Harley, 20, of Gadsden, S.C.

Very few details have been released at this time. Authorities say they are currently investigating the incident and tell ABC Columbia more details will be released as they become available.
