Columbia man arrested in connection with criminal solicitation of a minor

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Columbia man was arrested and charged in connection with attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office says 29-year-old Micka White solicited a person he believed to be a minor for sex and sent sexually explicit images to a person he believed to be a minor.

White who was out on bond from a prior arrest in 2023, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

He is charged with three counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, and one count of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a person under age eighteen.

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Charleston Police Department made the arrest.
