Spending at U.S. retailers rebounded last month
(CNN)– Americans spent more in February with retailers seeing a boost after a disappointing January.
The Commerce Department reports retail sales which includes spending on all goods and food services rose 0.6% in February.
Which is slightly below what economists were expecting. But up from January’s 1.1% decline.
It appears Americans are ready to usher in spring with new projects because sells at home improvement stores were up.
While they spent less on groceries and clothes.
