Man travels across America in support of good causes

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A man is setting out for an extraordinary trek across American on food and he began his journey right here in South Carolina.

Ranger Kielack began walking across America on March 10 from Myrtle Beach with an anticipated end goal in Pismo Beach, California.

He reached Columbia over the weekend and will rest for a few days before resuming. That’s nearly 200 miles in less than 7 days.

Kielack says this is an adventure he has thought about doing for years and it’s all with a purchase in mind.

His goal is to raise $100,000 for three nonprofits close to his heart, Future Farmers of America, Bigger Than The Trail and the Hospice Promise.
