Search underway for armed robbery suspect in Richland County
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C (WOLO) – A search is underway for a suspect who pulled a knife on a store clerk and demanded money, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
On Saturday, April 6th, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of Killian Road in response to a strong armed robbery. Once deputies arrived on scene, they were told a white male came into the store and demanded money. Investigators say the suspect allegedly pulled a knife and threatened the clerk if they did not comply.
No one was injured during the incident.
Deputies and RCSD K9 units canvased the area and set a perimeter in the surrounding area but were unsuccessful and finding the suspect.
The sheriff’s department is asking anyone who was in this area of Killian Road during the time of the incident and may have seen something, or who has knowledge of this incident, to please come forward.
