Uber adds new safety measures for riders

(CNN)– People using the ride share service Uber now have more safety options.

Uber says it has added four new safety features to the app.

There’s a pin verification giving riders the option to get a four digit code to make sure they’re getting in the correct car.

The ride check feature lets you know if a driver goes off course, stops unexpectedly or ends a trip early.

An audio recording feature can record your trip and secure the encrypted audio on your phone.

Rides can also share their trip with a friend or a family member.

Uber says the safety preferences can be set up in the app at any time.
