Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle on US-321 in Orangeburg this morning

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early this morning.

Troopers say it happened at approximately 4:32 a.m. at US-321 at Caughman Trail.

According to Lance Corporal Brittany Glover, the pedestrian was walking in the roadway when they were hit by a 2007 Ford F-450.

The pedestrian died on scene from their injuries and the Ford driver wasn’t hurt.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the victim.
