Coroner identifies 3 year old who Richland County Deputies say was found dead inside hot car
Richland County S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Coroner has identified a child that deputies say was found dead inside a hot car on Friday.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford says the victim is identified as 3 year old Armani Shoemaker, of Columbia, SC.
According to Sheriff Leon Lott, deputies responded to a home on Parliament Lake Drive in reference to a missing person Friday afternoon.
When they got there, investigators say they began searching for the child, who was then found inside the car.
Officials say the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
