Uber making Record-My-Ride feature available for users in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Rideshare app Uber is making its Record-My-Ride feature available for its users in Columbia.

The feature allows riders the ability to videotape their rides through the app creating an additional layer of safety.

Recordings will automatically stop shortly after a trip is completed, and start shortly before the driver’s next trip begins.

Also, Uber says neither the company nor the driver will have access to the video unless the rider files a safety compliant.

Uber began testing the feature back in 2022.
