SC lawmakers return to statehouse Wednesday for special session

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — While the legislative session ended last month, lawmakers are set to return to the statehouse this week.

The first order of business does not even involve any specific bills but there are still plenty of those to be sent to the governor’s desk.

Governor Henry McMaster says he would like to see a bill combining six of the state’s health agencies into one agency head to his desk.

Other issues the governor would like to see lawmakers address this summer include the state’s energy supply as well as judicial reform.

ABC Columbia’s Alex Tejada has more ahead of the start of the special session.
