Red Cross’s annual Battle of the Badges blood drive

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– First responders in the Midlands are out for blood.

On Thursday, representatives from the Columbia Police Department, Columbia-Richland Fire Department, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department rolled up their selves for the Red Cross’s Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.

The goal is to find out which agency can donate the most blood. Officers say no matter who comes out on top, everybody wins. People can also donate on behalf of one of the departments.
