Boeing blames missing paperwork for door plug incident

(CNN)– Boeing believes missing paperwork may have caused an Alaska Airlines flight in January to loose a door plug in the air.

It was already well known that documentation showing who worked on the door plus of the 737 max plane is missing.

But this week, Boeing said the lack of paperwork is why the incident occurred.

The four bolts needed to hold the door plus in place were never installed before the plane left the factory in October.

Boeing says the team that needed to reinstall the bolts didn’t have a work order telling them to do it.
