16-year-old charged in fatal shooting at Woodland Terrace Apartments

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say a 16-year-old is being charged in connection with the isolated fatal shooting on July 4th at Woodland Terrace Apartments on 320 Beltline Boulevard.
The teen turned himself in to the Bibb County Georgia Law Enforcement on Friday night, July 5th.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found an injured male. The male was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
According to Columbia PD, the shooting stemmed from an argument between acquaintances.
When the suspect is extradited to the City of Columbia, he will be charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a person under the age of 18.
He will be housed at the SC Department of Juvenile Justice.
